Movement standards & WOD format will be discussed at the Athlete Briefing – 8:40AM. All questions before then will be met with silence!

Close Uncommon Movement Clause:
Any movement deemed uncommon, out of the ordinary or used to amend, shorten or change the accepted Movement Standard or Range of Motion including line of action of any Event Movement can and will be disallowed.

Spectators are welcome. CrossFit Canmore t-shirts are $30. The Ridge Cafe is located within walking distance and open 730am-230 daily.

Street parking is available on Lincoln Park Rd but may be tight due to businesses & hotel guests in the surrounding area. Plenty of parking is available on Kananaskis Way, one block away, but please adhere to all parking restrictions. Click here for map
*Parking is not available in the Napa Auto Parts parking lot. Cars will be ticketed & towed at the owners expense.

RX athletes should have full command of all fundamental skills of CrossFit and be comfortable completing CrossFit Games Regional level weights and movements. *Please note these are only guidelines, and are not guaranteed weights & movements to be included in the competition. If you are within this range or close to, you should consider yourself an RX’d athlete.

Movements/weights you should be comfortable with are:

  • Front Squats (185/135#)
  • Deadlifts (315/225#)
  • Shoulders to Overhead (185/135#)
  • Cleans (225/155#)
  • Snatches (155/105#)
  • Thrusters (135/95#)
  • Double Unders
  • Chest to Bar Pull Ups
  • Pistols
  • Handstand Push Ups
  • Muscle Ups

Scaled athletes should have a good command of the basic fundamental skills of CrossFit and be comfortable with CrossFit Games Open weights and movements. WOD’s will be designed so that everyone will be able to complete a portion of the work, while still allowing the fittest to distinguish themselves (just like in The Open).

Movements/weights you should be comfortable with are:

  • Clean and jerks (135/95#)
  • Snatches (95/65#)
  • Thrusters (95/65#)
  • Pull Ups (chin over vertical plane)
  • Toes to Bar
  • Wall Balls (20/14# to 10′)
  • Box Jumps (24″)

  1. We have a few teams wanting to register. Will the event be held at your box or at another location in Canmore. Our teams are wanting to book hotels near the venue.
